i have a 91 rs. its all stock. it was running fine a few days ago but now it won't start. the coil fires, the distributor fires, the injectors are working. im baffled. if the plugs are firing and the engine is getting gas why won't it start. could my coil be weak? or my distributor be weak? i just figured that if either one were bad they wouldnt work at all. please help. thanks.

 

Is the dizzy loose? Timing way way off could result in what you described.

 

funny you should ask because i just set my timing the day before it started doing this. my timing marks were right on when i tightened the dist. back up. it ran fine that night and the following morning. now it won't run.

 

When you set the timing, did you first undo the tan wire with the black stripe? did you re-connect it afterward?

 

yeah i did all that stuff man thats why im so confused.

 

Nothing else coming to my mind right now. I'll post again if I think up anything relevant.
