1985 trans am with suffix PAA need help

1985 trans am with suffix PAA need help

alwright guys i have been trying to look up this suffix code for the past week but its like it dont exist.i have a 85 trans am but this engine is not the one that came in the car.i was told it came out of a 96 model.but when you run the suffix code thats on the front of the head it dont bring up anything.anybody have any ideas??????

here is the code off the block behind the alt.V0646PAA now i know that the v stands for flint 06 is the sixth month. but now about the 46!!!! i know there is not 46 days in a month.at first i thought i was seeing it wrong so i degreased the spot and thats what it says ive had three differant people look at it and they see the same thing.?????

In that case the block casting code on the back of the block would get you ballpark as to engine year(s)

yeah thats what i was thinking to.but its so tight in this car that im gonna have to pull the motor to see it.i was told this came out of a 1996 chevy c1500 it had throttle body injection but i swicthed it over to tune port.but anyways,thanks for the info.
