what y pipe do i need?

I am replacing the 2.8 in my 86 camaro with a healthy low mileage 305 from a 1985 caprice classic, what I know about the caprice so far is it has a 4barrel electric choke carb and is equipped with a smog pump and otherwise is still completely stock, I have heard I need a lg4 y pipe but my question is is that y pipe for the high output 305 or the non high output 305??

Re: what y pipe do i need?

ok thats kinda what i was thinking except when i researched the caprice the motor in the 85 was rated at 165hp and the last info i got told me that i needed a y pipe for a motor that was supposedly rated at 140hp so i was alittle confused

Re: what y pipe do i need?

that would be a great plan but the headers are going in this winter, but as of right now i got a good lead on a y pipe from a mod here that just wants shipping paid so no more problems there, what part of the great snowy state of mn you from tnt?
