AC, Smog Delete

Hey guys I have looked it up and searched forums but have not found a straight answer. I am going to take off my AC and Air Pump. The set up for the belts it the multiple ones, one belt for the alternator, one for the air pump, ect. I have read that you do not need a replacement pulley, and i have read that you do to balance it out.

Someone please give me a straight forward answer.

Thanks
Chris

You haven't posted exactly what year/model you have or a picture, but I'll assume you do not have the serpentine system.

In that case the answer is No, you don't need another pulley.

The older systems (pre-1988 I think) were NOT a serpentine system, but one of the multiple belts was wide, which confuses some people.

It's the serpentine systems that sometimes need an extra pulley for accessory deletes.
