L98 piston dish volume
I have a quick question about the L98.
Does anyone know the stock piston dish volume?
The only real data on the engine in question is the casting number (14093638) and that it's supposed to be from an '87 Camaro.
I have heads and a cam ready however I'd like to know what the piston dish volume might be so as to prepare for any modifications regarding potential compression ratios.
Thanks.

Re: L98 piston dish volume
Did some digging and came up with the following.
Using the engine casting numbers from the back of the block:
14093638. 1987 350. 2 or 4 bolt mains. Roller or non roller block. 1 pc rear main seal.
Using the engine suffix code stamped on the front of the block: Manufactured in Flint, Michigan. 1987 350 w/ auto trans and TPI. Rated at 225 hp.
Searching the forums at ThirdGen.org: A little more than 9.1:1 compression with 64cc heads and a factory head gasket.
Pistons should be 12cc dished.
Unfortunately with my friends choice of cam shaft and cylinder heads, his combination isn't going to work very well. The Erson cam he has which is 286/294 w/ .547" lift on a 108 LSA will need more compression that he can muster with a 12cc piston, stock deck height and 64cc Dart Pro 1 Platinum heads. Even with a .015" head gasket.
If there's anything someone would like to add, feel free.
