are roller cams better then flat tapet cams?my camaro is going to be all street.I have a chance to get a 84 350 cheap and as wondering how the roller and flat tappet cams compare to each other.

 

yes roller cams are better less friction and all faster opening rate blah blah. but they are going to cost you way more than a flat tappet. the block that you listed will not be set up for a roller cam so you will have to get a retro kit and they still cost alot. if your willing to spend the extra cash then go for it other wise look for a block already set up to run a roller cam it will be alot cheaper.
