Car won't restart after getting up to running temp.

89 gta 350 tpi starts fine then after it has run and is up to operating temp (195) will not start (just cranks) until car cools for 20-30 minutes, fuel pump runs when key is turned on, Any Ideas?

Have you checked spark and fuel pressure when it won't start?

Re: Car won't restart after getting up to running temp.

No I have not, But i did some more testing last night and it is more intermitent than I thought, it seems if I tap the maf sensor enough it will start but not always, I didn't have any problems until I cleaned the maf sensor with maf cleaner last year , should I try cleaning it again? also I did not have any problems until I installed headers, also
I checked the vacumn line to the fuel pressure reg, no gas in it.

I had a similar problem where I'd get spark but no start after the engine warmed up. I replaced the Ignition Module and never had a problem since. So thats what I'd try, good luck!
