Fuel Level Sender / Gauge

Hello All,

I've managed to extract my fuel tank to replace the pump. The car has been sitting and the gas gauge had not been reading correctly. I checked the fuel level sender and it was pretty much swinging freely. I took it apart and am assuming the crumbled dust was the wiper on the potentiometer.

Does anyone know where I can buy one of these or something close? I'd hate to put the tank back together and not have a working gas gauge. If there isn't a source for these, does anyone have any thoughts on kluging on a wire to use as the wiper or swapping in a simple potentiometer? The electronics modifications do not trouble me, just the fact that it will be sitting in gasoline.

Thanks for the help!
Martin

Re: Fuel Level Sender / Gauge

Good call on the rock auto. I ended up ordering Spectra PN FG20A from them with a 5% off code I found on the internet. It is a shame to have to buy the whole assembly, but its better then not having a working fuel gauge.

Thanks,
Martin
