Lol at my OOPSIE!
Yea so it was a great day on tuesday for me, I decided to follow up on switching out my breather on my 92 formula 305 TBI for an open air element. Note that I am a 1st time mechanic and bound to screw this up although it only takes about 3-4 screws of my time.....so while placing the new 3" tall open breather by Edlebrock I did not notice the wires directly behind the metal breather bottom (Coil wires). From here I guess most of you tech junkies here notice where I messed up...... Long story short I touched the wires then BOOF cloud of smoke in my face with tons of burnt wires......... Well after cursing - kicking - throwing tools - wife mocking me and the kid laughing at daddy's tantrum my grandfather fixed and spliced all the wires back in about 3-4 hours and I am still open-element breatherless....
Has anyone else done this?
