Rocker nocking on valve cover?
I just replaced both my PCV tubes with little chrome filters and on the passenger side I noticed that the filter seemed to be rocking when I turned on the engine. When I touch the filter it seems like something is banging into it over and over. Not super hard, doesn't make any noise, but visibly rocks the filter a bit.
Could this be why my idle has been **** lately? At idle it drops randomly over and over almost enough to kill it sometimes, and the more power being drained (Like when I switch my fan on) the more dramatic the dip is.
I was thinking that this shitty idle was due to the ECM making it run a bit lean because I removed all my emissions crap.
So, my question is: What do ya think? Is the bad idle due to the emissions removal, the rocker hitting the valve cover or something else? Is the rocker hitting the valve cover a big deal? Also, I notice a good deal of white smoke (or steam, don't know) coming from the two valve filters. Is that normal?

The rocker shouldnt be hitting the valve cover at all. Take off the valvecover and find out why.

Mine was doing that, it was making a ticking sound and I just figured it was an exhaust leak, sounded just like one. I pulled the valve cover and every one of my rockers were loose as could be and one of them was beating the valve cover. Take it off and check.

White smoke is another matter altogether. To me, if it's coming out of the exhaust OR the breathers, indicates coolant leakage.

Theres always a certain amount of white smoke that comes out of an engine's crankcase. I wouldnt sweat it unless it's clouds of the stuff.
