coolant leak!
there is a decent sized coolant leak on the passenger side of my trans am. the car drives fine, but when i parked it i could hear something sizzling as if it was dripping on to something hot. i got under the car and there was a light steady flow of coolant coming down from between the trans cover and right before the cat on the passenger side.
any help to diagnose the problem would be of great help. thanks.

Re: coolant leak!
Heater Core.
Check passengers floor matting for moisture.
If you have a coolant valve that diverts coolant based on HVAC settings (no idea what its technical name is) then if you set your HVAC to cold it won't route coolant to the heater core and thus not leak. I'm not sure what year chevy started putting these valves in, it's not in my 86 but it is there on my 91.
