power steering bracket without ac
power steering bracket without ac
My a/c was all messed up so i took it all out but in doing so my power steering bracket is not firm. Is there a power steering bracket that does not need the a/c bracket

Not that I know of. Go to my profile and look at my picture albums. I got my bracket there. No biggie having it there really.

Yes, need more info. I'm assuming you have the A/C mount on driver side, and was a v-belt or 1/2 serp 1/2 vbelt setup.
But - the only option I found was March. They are expensive ($100), but I spent way more trying several others that would not work, but the March brackets work well, and I should have not tried to be so cheap myself because I ended up paying more in the end on junk that did not work.

So it's a vbelt with A/C on driver side. Like I said, definitely MARCH if looking aftermarket, they are $100, but they work - all the ones I tried that were other brands didn't work at all. March makes several different ones, I would talk to their tech support to find out exactly which you need - the one I got was a 20165, but there are several ones that pretty much look the same, but have different holes in different locarions for different p/s pumps.
There may be other methods (like stock brackets from different years), but I couldn't come up with anything that worked other than the March brackets.
