Hi guys. I got a question. Could I install a pair of 92 RS aluminum heads on my 350 TPI? Does it really matter if I install aluminum 305 heads on the IROC from a 92 RS?

 

The 92 RS had terrible swirl port iron heads... No thirdgen had factory aluminum heads, much less a base RS.

 

Gotcha. Well then the RS that I found at a local junkyard has aftermarket aluminums. But Im not too sure if the heads are for a 305 or 350. Would it be a difference if they happen to be 305 heads? i got a 350. Will I run into engine knock?

 

They're aluminum, so just get them. Post em up and we can identify em for you. They're either GM Corvette L98 heads or they're aftermarket, in any case they're likely worth a good chunk of change if tehy're not cracked/damaged. It'd be worthwhile to have them.

 

Okay then. The RS just got in the junkyard yesterday. Hopefully theyre (heads) are still there when I get paid on Friday.

 

No dice. I went on friday and the junkyard guy sold the whole engine.
