Hello, I tried the search on here and came up empty handed. Could someone direct me to a web site to ID SBC Engines? I just traded for
a 350 and getting ready to pick up a couple more from a guy. The ID on the block, flat landing in front of the passenger side head is K0430UZA. I know they are post 87 blocks because the block isnt drilled for a manual fuel pump. I'm also confused because I assumed all post 87 SBC were equipped with roller cams after reading from David Vizards "How to rebuild SBC on a budget" Any info is appreciated. P.S. great site here with lots of info for I just purchased my first F Body in June.

1981 350. 165 HP, 4 bbl carb. Pickup truck or van engine with a manual transmission.

Check to see if there's a pilot bearing in the end of the crank for the tranny input shaft.

 

It has a one piece rear main so I thought it was an 87 - later. I'm gonna have to look for some more numbers. Thanks man.
