zz4 able to use mechanical roller?

Is there any issues using a mechanical roller cam / lifters in a ZZ4 crate motor? As far as I know the ZZ4 is the newer 1 piece rear main seal block. I know that Chevy converted from flat tappet hydraulic cams to hydraulic rollers in 87 and know that there is a "conversion" that has to be done to go from a flat tappet to the roller style. Would there be any issues going from the hydraulic roller that is in the zz4 to a mechanical roller? I cant imagine there would be but figured i'd ask. Thanks

All the suppliers of solid roller lifters offer a tall style for the later blocks. For daily street use, I would spend a bit more and run COMP's EndureX version.
Pay attention to the advertised lift versus what your heads are machined for.
