TPI pinhole in fuel line near fuel filter... Help!
I went under my car today, to replace what I believe is a plugged up fuel filter. The lines were incredibly rusty on one side (with newer line on the other via compression fitting) I put light pressure to see if I could break the line loose a bit on the rusted side (after unplugging the fuel pump fuse and starting the car to kill some pressure) but before I hardly got an pressure at all on the line it sprung a small leak spraying the fuel like an injector out under my car... I got the heck out from under there as fast as I could, praying that the spray would not ignite on my warm mid pipe. I am wondering how long it will keep spraying with some pressure left in the line, and if I should get under there and try and break it free more (I am afraid of making a spark!)
And finally how I should proceed.... Cut the rusted line somewhere and use a compression fitting going to the old line up a bit?

Maybe try the parts store to see if you can get a complete replacement line?

Yeah i think I will replace the line, but its rusted to some brake lines that need some replacement so I'll have to make a day of it. To get the car running I am going to use a 2" section of rubber hose to patch the over that area once I cut it out.
