Need a quick heater core question answered! *pic*

Hey guys. Today I was driving home and noticed that I had a small puddle of coolant collecting on my passanger floor mat. I am aware that its the heater core but I cannot fix it for another 1-2 weeks. I do not need the heat, and would like to temporarily disconnect it. I have an 87 350TPI. Is this the hose that I need to clamp to stop the flow of coolant to the heatercore?

Or is there something else I can do? It looses alot of coolant once the car is warmed up.

Take both hoses off the heater core, and put them together with a plastic connector and a couple clamps - any auto parts store sells the connectors about $3-4 and another $2-3 for the clamps.
