1/4 guess / hp
i built a 355. with "turbo" 292 heads 202. 1.6. 64cc hardened valve seats,
bronze guides, double spring crane. 1.6 scorpion roller rockers on exhaust and 1.5 on intake. screw in studs with guide plates. 501 lift 292/292 duration comp cam. speed pro forged flat top pistons with forged rods and crank. headmen long tubes. air gap rpm intake with a 650 carb, mallory distributer. i was told similar builds put out anywhere from 350hp to 450hp depending on fuel timing and tune. dose this sound about right.
now trans i have a 700r4 with red eagle clutches and frictions plates, red eagle power band. "the beast" heavy duty sun gear shell. and a consistent pressure valve body from tci. aluminium driveshaft going to a trans am nine bolt 3.23 posi rear.
so with that set up wat should i be running in quarter mile just a guess. i know where is many different things to account to a run but approx i wont have money to have it running till spring but just wondering if anyone else had anything slimier and wat there times were.

Re: 1/4 guess / hp
i ran that same cam in my chevelle, the 274 extreme energy was almost the same et, but way better on the street, any how a few things to consider that i would like to know....how much stall? still single exhaust? and what tires?....I will give you my best guess and some advise from my love for drag racing.....with your set up guessing you weigh in at 3500lbs should be mid to low 13s with any tire, the main reason being that small 650 cfm carb, I used a 850 holley DP with that cam and it was perfect! If you want to get that thing into the low 12s then go with a 850 carb, 3000+ stall and at least a 411 gear, Im a little more on the go for it and race side, but the setup you have should run good and sound great on the street
Re: 1/4 guess / hp
oh and horsepower with what you got 350 at the flywheel maybe a little more, I was assuming you have around 11:1 compression, if under 10:1 you may not like how it runs....horsepower means nothing, getting down the track first is everything.
