few questions

Im putting a sbc 350 in in a 92 firebird and was wondering where the heater hoses go? does one go intake manifold and one go on the water pump? Also how would i wire up and alternator? should i use a single wire? or one with the stud and 2 wire plug in it? If i use the one with the plug where would the wires go? one to stud and other to? Also What throttle cables is everyone using? just a stock one from the car?

thanks markus

Re: few questions

Might want to say what you're swapping from. I'm assuming a V6? Otherwise everything should swap right over from a 305, in fact you would save a lot of money by reusing a lot of the parts.

The heater hoses are as below. Notice that they are different sizes. I don't recall what they are off hand (5/8 and 3/4?) but you can go by the heater core outlets:

Re: few questions

I don't have a Firebird White Book, but I have a Camaro one. If they're the same, the eighth digit on the VIN is the engine code:
F or E = 305
T = V6
8 = 350
I believe all came with the holes needed for either engine mount. If it had a 350 in it before you should be able to use the throttle and other cables it has. Be careful if you're putting a 700R4 in it. The TV cable needs to be adjusted correctly or it can burn the clutches inside in little time.

Pics of what you have for linkages and connectors might help too. I'm not as familiar with what your year may have but others will be able to help if they can see.
