Start RPMs and evap canister

I have an 87 5.0 TPI with cold start. Can someone please tell me what your RPMs are when you first start the car in the morning? I know it will idle down after she is warm, does it just gradually step down to normal idle? Mine is still a little rough to start in the mornings even with the Cold Start, just wondering if I have a bad Cold start sensor. Part two. Can someone pleas give me the right part number for the evap canister on a 87 5.0 TPI? mine was a carb to tpi swap and not sure I have the right canister. Thanks for the assistance in advance. Tony

Re: Start RPMs and evap canister

I have a '92 5.0 w/tpi. Not running at it's best yet. It'll cold start at what I think is the third revolution of the crank, which I think is kind of late. I used to have to let off and crank again before it'll start before I rebuilt the heads. Anyway, when cold it'll idle at 1050 or so and after a few mins it'll drop to 750-800. That might be high to some but in the 6 months I've had it it's never been lower.
