fuel pump

i needed a new fuel pump because my housing cracked on the one that was on my car, so my friend gave me one off a 307. now the 307s pump fits into the location and is exactly the same except for on thing. my cars fuel pump has two male ends and one female, and the 307s has one male and one female end. now i looked it up and it said that one of the male ends on my car was for emissions which i dont have anymore. what it didnt specify is which one it was. so if anyone can tell me whcih hose i can remove completely to put on the other fuel pump it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: fuel pump

The third one is a return line. It has nothing to do with emissions. It has to do with what the pump's internal pressure regulator does with the excess gas. Whether it sends it back to the tank (keeps gas flowing and I hear helps prevent vapor lock) or just keeps it in the pump.

If you want to use that pump, connect the threaded female to your carb line, and the other connection to the thicker of the two lines coming up the frame. Cap off the smaller one.
