I've been having a lot of problems with my car lately, which is weird it usually runs like awesome. Here's a list of things I've noticed that I need ideas/answers please on what they are, and how to fix them. Thanks in advanced, the members on here are very knowledgeable and I always appreciate the advice. I've done some research on my own, but would like to hear what you guys think....

1. I have an exhaust leak on the drivers side manifold, it's only noticeable when you give the car gas to go. I know what the problem is, the second to last bolt broke off in the head, how in the world am I going to get it out?!?

2.I'm not sure if this is normal but my oil gauge shows it's really low, it dips into the red at idle while the car is in drive, and when I accelerate it gets back up to normal range. Does not do this when car idles in park! What's going on?

3.My car is getting drove more than ever!! Yea! But I've noticed a pressure constantly building in the gas tank. It's got new gas in it, and was on empty when I filled it up( all the way). Every time I park my car I have to let the pressure off by unscrewing the gas cap, I confirmed it is the right gas cap for the car.

Thanks again, I hope someone has some answers for me, I really don't want to take it to a shop.

I can't believe I forgot !! When I'm sitting at a red light, my car in drive, the idle gets really low. (if I've been running around town for a little bit, not hours, just normal day to day driving) It's not done this before. The car shakes, and wants to cut out and die. Doesn't do this when driving, or in park and idling. I have to keep my rpm's up with my foot on the brake to keep it from cutting out.

 

Hey dude, i have that same problem right now. I also have the oil pressure gauge problem, except mine just reads like 15 psi until it's idle and then it reads 0 but my oil is still in there. my car just started the cutting out yesterday when i started it to leave work. anyway, if you've found anything out, please let me know (judging by the fact that your post was from 2010, i'm sure you did lol). i'm pretty sure it's either the fuel filter or the fuel pump, but any extra insight would be appreciated. thanks.

 

I would put a better oil psi guage on your car. If it is really getting that low it's going to seize up! If you cant afford a nicer guage atleast change the sending unit. you can probably get one from a pick n pull or whatever it's called where you are! IF it's that low quit driving it!!!! CHeaper to rebuild before it seizes up! I had a honda spin a bearing and the crank needed machine work. They wanted close to 300 bucks to machine my crank because it was hardened nitrated or something. Bearings and a oil pump are way cheaper than that!!

 

When was the last time you did a tune up. Check your plugs, wires, cap and rotor. But Figurre out the oil psi first! I just went through the same thing. Overlooked the plugs and mmy car was probably running on 5 cylinders the way they looked.
