how to test a fuel pump?
Does anyone know how to test a fuel pump and drain the fuel tank with out pulling it? Ide like to get all the gas out cuz its been sitting a while and want fresh gas with my new fuel injectors also want to make sure my pump is working right.

I have no idea how to tell if the pump is working right cause if it works it's good enough for me. The only way I can think of draining the tank without taking it out is going to take a while; the feed line off the pump gets run to a bucket and you crank and crank and crank or cut a hole in the floor where the pump is, take the pump out and siphon it all out.

Buy a siphon for like 5.99 at the local parts store and stick it down the fill tube. No need to hack your car up just to drain the fuel.
As far as testing, get a fuel pressure gauge, hook it to the rail, turn key and check the fuel pressure. That is about as good as a sign as anything.
