q-jet to holley hooking it up?

I was trying to hook up a used hollet 600cfm that I got but the linkages to hook up the throttle and transmission cable are different. Am i supposed to used the ones on my q-jet. On THE Holley itself there is a long metal bar where the cable is supposed to be attached?

You'll need the specific adapter for the TV cable for the Holley carb. Hope you also swapped out the dist for a mech/vac one now that the computer is no longer controlling it?

I suggest showing us a picture of what you have. I dont know what you mean by long metal bar.

Do you have an appropriate bracket that holds the cables in place? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HL...n/?prefilter=0 The one from the quadrajet doesnt hold them the proper distances from the carb.

Do you have the (overpriced I think) tv geometry bracket http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLY-20-121/ naf mentioned so you dont ruin your transmission?

I know I've seen the clips at either the car parts stores or in the drawers at lowes.

The came with a distributor with vac can but I bought a newer 65k volt one that im putting in. Also the metal bar has a threaded end which threads into the braket and then was attached to a cable in the firewall.
