Valve covers

I just bought a 350 engine and i hate the black valve covers on there right now. Im making this engine a carb and im using an airgap intake by SBC. My first question is do i need to still use the breather holes? And if not can i get valve covers that have no breather holes on top except for the center bolt holes? the pictures i posted are whats on there now

Re: Valve covers

Could it be possible using these? They dont have the oil cap on top http://www.midwestmotorsportsinc.com...961&parent=294
The two breather holes on top, do i really need them since im running carb? if not would it be possible to use these types with no holes? http://www.midwestmotorsportsinc.com...001&parent=294

Re: Valve covers

you will need holes.

one for pvc, other for breather.

Plus without holes where you planning on putting oil in the motor?

Re: Valve covers

I understand now that i need the holes but instead of having the tubes couldnt i just buy filters and put them in place of where the breather and pcv go?

Yes, if you don't mind cleaning up the mess.
