Edelbrock fuel pump question

I have a edelbrock 1721 and purchased a 1798 adapter plate to much the lines to the bottom of the pump. Edelbrock sent very little info about installing, but my question is do you keep or remove the bottom diaphram as far as I can tell it is removed in the instruction picture. Just making sure before I install it.

Re: Edelbrock fuel pump question

I'm not sure if you'd keep it or not. Are you sure that bottom feed lines will fit?

Re: Edelbrock fuel pump question

Yeah I have the fuel hoses hooked up. I cant find a solid answer. But to me it looks like it would block the fuel from coming thru. I will call edelbrock or summit tomorrow.
