Tensioner Pulley
Ok I can't find anything in search, but heres what I have. I am replacing the serpentine tensioner pulley on my 85 Z28, The new one I got from O'reillys is the smooth style. When I go to bolt the new one in, it binds the pulley.... went back to store got another and same thing..... what can I do about this short of buying a complete tensioner assy.?
Re: Tensioner Pulley
I have the exact same problem.. Tried searching.. Anyone got any tips?
Its weird, when I start the car, the pulley still spins, but I had to loosen it a little otherwise it would seize up. The washer is a little loose, has a little play and rattle, but when the car is started, it doesnt seem to make any noise, and it spins, so it should be fine. Im almost not completely sure its completely quiet because I have a smog pump making a lot of noise.
