A lot of problems...
A lot of problems...
alright so i'm trying to get my camaro in driving condition, i've changed plugs, wires, and distributor cap, and it runs like total POO. with the MAF connected it will start, idle high, and then when it starts to idle down it just stalls. with the MAF disconnected, it will run like poo still but it will run.
also, when i turn the key in the ignition, the tachometer jumps all over the place.
and finally, my check engine light does not come on at all, so i'm thinking that may just be a bulb out?
any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks
note: i haven't seen the car drive since i was 8, my dad gave me the car and i'm 17 now trying to get her in good shape, i'm aware that there are many things wrong with this car and it's gonna take a lot of work, but i'm just looking for some suggestions as i honestly know nothing about troubleshooting this car

Re: A lot of problems...
1) change fuel filter if hasn't been done
2) try MAF cleaner on the MAF
3) also use TB cleaner on the TB
4) maybe new coolant temp sensor (close to or in the thermostat housing)
5) maybe new ignition module (in distributor under rotor)
6) are we dealing with new fresh gas? if not, siphon tank, refill with premium like 1/2 tank, and add Stabil per instructions to remove moisture, and add Seafoam as well
