Fuel Pump In Tank Question
I have an 87 Trans Am that has the electric pump in tank and the mechanical pump on the block. If I do away with all the computer stuff can I go without the pump in the tank? Or can you run the pump in the tank with out the computer equipment?

Re: Fuel Pump In Tank Question
Yes, and yes.
What you cannot do is run an external pump that is trying to pull gas through a non-working intank pump - it'll work for awhile, but eventually burn up your external pump.
I'm assuming your thinking of going non-computerized carb - why? Your computer carb is much much better than any other carb you can get, up until about 350 - 400hp, then you'd need a different carb. There really is nothing better than your stock carb setup - keep it if it functions and put any motor under it you like (under that hp).
