Help with my 1992 Pontiac Firebird

Alright I have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird that I just bought not to long ago. The car runs fantastic when it is running but ever since I put my radio and subwoofers in the car seems to stall and then wont start again. Does anyone know what is wrong with it? I just replaced the fuel filter. The fuel pump sounds like it is working. I have tried taking out the radio and everything and it still does it. At first it just took like 15 minutes then it would start again but now it won't start till like 10 hours later.

just cause you hear the fuel pump doesnt mean your gettin the correct pressure, generally speaking a loud pump is a weak pump. id make sure you didnt blow any fuses or anything

Assuming you didnt do any ghetto wiring there is NO reason a system would stop your car from running, have you checked your battery voltage and charging volts?

Re: Help with my 1992 Pontiac Firebird

Heat related stall and no start is often distributor related. Check for spark when the problem occurs.

Re: Help with my 1992 Pontiac Firebird

I have a new question and I don't know if you will be able to help me or not. My 92 Firebird has the stock ground effects on it but some are missing and I wanted a body kit but I love the no ground effects look and was wondering if anyone knew if I could take off that back bottom lip like in this picture and how people did the front bumper the way they did without the plastic going down like it is suppose too. If you know what I am talking about and can help out let me know please and thank you. I want my car to look like the black firebird with no ground effects but the other two pictures are of what is on my car.

Re: Help with my 1992 Pontiac Firebird

I know that those pieces are attached to the front bumper cover and the rear bumper cover so I was wondering if I found one without those parts on it would it fit on my car?
