starter? Need advice
Hi Guys,
My car wouldn't start the other day after I drove it for about 15 min. No click - nothing! So I did some research about VATS and the starter circuit on here.
I've replaced the Neutral Safety switch and tonight I bypassed the Starter Enable Relay. Also, VATS has been turned off in the chip. The car cranks and starts just fine when cold. I turned it on & off many, many times testing it.
However, once it gets up to temperature, I turn it off and try to restart it and NOTHING! No click or anything. I've done some searching on here and it sounds like a failed starter/solenoid would cause this? I put an Autzone remaned one on about 2 years ago but I guess it's toast?
I did purchase a new ignition switch for under the steering column but haven't put it on yet. Any advice on this?
Thanks!

Re: starter? Need advice
Try jumping the starter directly off the battery when it does this. You need a 3ft piece of 10ga wire ... touch one end to battery pos and other end to starter terminal where the purple wire connects - if starter turns with no issue, then it's not the starter or solenoid but another issue.

Thanks camaronewbie! I will give that a shot.
Last night, I replaced the Ignition Switch. What a HUGE PITA that was! It seemed to start better after that but I will have to do more testing tonight.
