Few quick questions
Ok, so these all pertain to my 85 sport coupe (I guess what would be a SS/RS?) with 305 carb'd.
question #1. How do I check my fuel filter to see if it needs to e replaced? (which I'm pretty sure it does need to be) I know where it is but I'm pretty sure I was bending the line and spilling fuel.
#2 I have a rattling noise coming from under the hood somewhere...but idk where. It only starts to happen (or atleast I start to hear it) as I'm accelerating after 45 mph. the harder I accelerate the louder it is. a friend said it might be the exhaust.
& #3 (for now) What do ya'll think about putting a bigger cam in the engine? I want one that'll give me more power but still allow me to keep the car as an every day driver. what else other than the cam do I need to replace? What are ya'lls recommendations for one? (brand wise?)

Re: Few quick questions
1. Unscrew the gas cap to relieve pressure. Use the two proper wrenches to remove the steel fuel line and inverted flare fitting from the carb. (more like position out of the way than remove) Pull the old filter out, in with the new, tighten things up. And some gas will always spill.
2. Probably exhaust.
3. Please don't waste the time, energy, or money in doing a cam swap in an LG4.

Re: Few quick questions
It's not about the cam, it's about the motor. Search this site about modifying an LG4 and you'll find your answer.

Re: Few quick questions

Re: Few quick questions
