got a 90 v6 firebird that has been starting fine.2 days ago it would turn over but not start for a long time.after half hour it started right up and run fine.the next day it didn't want to start so I shot it with starting fluid and it started.checked the timing and shut it off.went to move it and no start.starting fluid would get it started but it wouldnt stay running.Finaly after waiting 10 min it started and I moved it out of the way.I have already bypassed the issue of not turning over with a push button start.I dont have a fuel line pressure tester.

 

Have you replaced the fuel filter lately? I would do that before i dropped the tank.

 

Is the pump priming? Might look into a new fuel pump relay.

 

havnt thought about the relay.I have one of thoughs laying around here somwhere.Might try that for the fun of it.I figured it would start but not run very good if it was the filter.Runs great once ya get it going.I would most deffinetly check to see if it will push gas out before dropping the tank.Sort of checking to see what other things might cause these syptems.the relay is a good one for me to keep in mind.
