Tps Help
I can't get any reading at all off a brand new TPS. It is from Autozone but I should still be able to get a reading right? Can someone help me and walk me through these steps of setting it please?

Re: Tps Help
What are you not getting? Does it have the reference voltage? is it varying the signal voltage?

I don't remember which wire is which off hand (do you have a wiring diag.?) but one must have 5 volts going into the TPS and one output will have a variable voltage based on throttle position. But you've got to start with the 5 volts in. Track that down first.

Alright well I put my meter in the plug that plugs up to the tps. Negative one in the middle and the positive to the right and got 0.05. Then I put the positive in the left one and got 0.00

Re: Tps Help
Put the positive in/on the middle wire and the negative on a ground, make sure your key is turned to the on position, but don't start it. hth.
I just replaced and set the TPS in mine yesterday, it was a PITA, tried a ,million different ways to get my meter to read. I gave up on a jumper wire and just plugged it in and stuck my probe in with the middle wire, and voila!
