I'm about to purchase a 1985 camaro berlinette and i was wondering is it carbed or tpi? its got a air cleaner on it like an older car that has piping to the front

It should have been carbed; the V8 that would have been in it originally (the low-output LG4) was; and I think the 6-cyl that it might have had, also came with a carb, but I have not the vaguest clue about those because I avoid all contact with them, even looking at them, let alone working on them or {gasp} owning them.

If you look at the rpo sticker which is located in the center council, or the rear glove box, it will say LB8 which would be a multiport v6, or LG4 which would be a carbed v8. Just count how many wires are on the distributor.
