Speedo Question

I have a 88 S10 and since it has the same 5 speed found in the Camaros I decided to ask those who could help me best. I am stumped big time. My speedo dont work and I replaced the cable and nothing. I replace the reduction gear at the trans and nothing. I can turn the speedometer gear that is on the end of the reduction gear by hand and watch speedo move but when I put it in the trans I get nothing. I would really appreciate any help.

Re: Speedo Question

For that trans, IDK. This should be in the transmission sub-forum.
