Shut it off fixed the wires and went to crank it again soon as i turned the key to crank it car went POP really loud. I tried to crank it and it cranked but wont start. Any help would be more than appreciated

Check your fuses, in car and the one by the battery. Does your check engine light come on when you turn the key to the on position?

Re: pop while cranking car now wont crank
Is the starter working or not, kinda confused here, in your 1st post you said "it would crank, but not start", now you're saying the starter isn't working, which would make cranking impossible. Maybe we have different terms on the word? From the quote I'll assume the starter isn't working, if so, then yes it could be the solenoid or your car isn't in park.
