How much room is above the fuel tank?

This past weekend I started to modify my fuel tank sending unit and run new braided line to the top of the tank (-8 an) I had the 90 degree bend a fuzz to far infront of the tank so I have to modify the set up again. I'm just curious as to how much space is on top of the tank when it's completely bolted in?

Enough to run a tube fitting and -8 an line to a 90 degree fitting on top of the tank in the stock routing?

Re: How much room is above the fuel tank?

Id wedge some wood spacers between the tank and trunk to do that. Its REALLY tight with the stock steel lines, using a much bigger line with bulky (by comparison) fittings will almost certainly hit hard and you dont want to be bending bulkhead fittings esp when they're sealing your fuel cell
