Need Reliable Fuel Pump!!!

So a few days ago, my parent's third gen's fuel pump went out. I thought to myself, "Whew, good thing mine is fairly new, that is such a pain to replace..."

...then today, mine, also, went out.

We are both responsible for owning the same fuel pump, which was purchased at Autozone. I believe this to be the Airtex Fuel Pump according to my reciept's dim writing (and out of date warranty).

My question to everyone is what kind of fuel pump they use for their third gens that they believe to be reliable. I understand the whole hit and miss principle, but I want to increase our chances of a hit to prevent the whole splendid process of replacing the fuel pump...every few years...over and over...and over again.

I own an 89 v6 2.8
They own a 92 v6 3.1

Both my family and I appreciate any feedback! Thanks!

-Dan

ACDelco, denso, Delphi and Bosch. in descending order of quality IMO. i used to sell airtex and don't any longer due to quality issues.

The airtex quality is so terrible that the CarQuest I just ordered my ACDelco Fuel Pump from (thanks to your and someone else's recommendation) says they don't even sell Airtex anymore. Thanks!

Re: Need Reliable Fuel Pump!!!

I use walbro in my car it basicly plugs right in and it gives me some room to upgrade other things since its a performance pump. Its all we use at my shop on normal, turboed, and supercharged cars.
