Engine: LG4 305/V8
Transmission: 700r4
FUEL PUMP MOUNTED IN FRONT ENGINE BAY?
is it ok if my electric fuel pumped is installed in the front with the engine? ive read electric fuel pumps are usually in the gas tank or something like this,,can anyone help clear this up?

as in they don't suck very well.
The in-tank pump version is under the fuel and the external pumps are usually mounted below the tank so there is fuel at the inlet all the time.

So would this affect how my car. I've replaced the alternator recently because the car would shut of on me while driving , the battery was recieving no power ...whenever I give it full throttle the car sometimes chokes ..would this be the electric fuel pump or the carb ?
