Help adjusting to new valve covers.

Ok, so I got some new/used (new to me) valve covers. (they are the chrome ones with Chevrolet on them. My only issue is they each only have 1 hole a piece. But on the stock ones I have 3. driver side has 2, one for oil cap and one for PCV valve. the passenger has one which originally had the little hose hooked up to the stock air cleaner but I now have a open element so it's one of the small spectre air filter thingys.

My question is. What do I do? Do I not have the PCV valve connected or what? also they don't have the black rubber like things on inside edge of the holes. do I need to get new ones? Thank you for any and all help.

Re: Help adjusting to new valve covers.

You can get grommets for it at a parts store. You'll have to forego the oil filler, and fill it through the PCV holes.

Re: Help adjusting to new valve covers.

The factory covers have 3 holes: oil filler, PCV breather and PCV valve
The new ones have 2 holes: PCV breather and PCV valve

You won't have an oil filler anymore. Every time you want to put oil in it from now on, you'll have to pull out either the breather or the valve, and pour it through that hole.
