what are these sensors and connectors?

question on a couple sensor/connectors.

this sensor goes to my trans

what is it? it wasn't connected before i even removed anything.

and this sensor is on the passenger side between the exhaust header

wtf is that? can't be a temp sensor cause that's on the other side of the engine.

Pic #3 is the fan temp switch, but some of it is missing. The connector for that one should look exactly like the connector for your knock sensor, which is located low on the passenger side of the block near the middle.

Auto transmissions aren't my thing, but the wiring diagram shows a tan/black and pruple for the locking convertor, and the green is the 4th gear switch.

is there a good site or picture somebody has of L98 engine bay sensors/connectors? there's a connector at the back of my engine that i don't know where it goes. just did a recent engine pull with some friends so i didn't unhook everything.
