Distributor help

Hi,
I have a 350 engine. Not a factory one, and I can't find any numbers to identify it. It has a mallory distributor on it. I want to get rid of it. The previous owner did a shotty job wiring it. I would like to go to a hei style. Is there a way to cross reference the one that I would need? I have the part number it is mallory 9148201, I was looking at getting this one.

Any SBC HEI will work
You don't say what type engine ( carb or EFI ? ) you have but if EFI then you need a computer controlled version of a HEI
