replace fuel lines with rubber hoses?

My fuel filter was shot and in order for me to replace it I had to cut the fuel lines. Can I replace the fuel lines with rubber hoses in the areas I cut it out?
Thanks

Were the nuts on the fuel filter not good enough for you?

They were rusted, that's why I couldn't get them off.

Head to the junkyard and get a new feed line. Not that hard to remove.

You could buy some high-pressure rubber line and then pray a rock doesn't hit it, but why half-*** it?

Re: replace fuel lines with rubber hoses?

I used rubber hoses there without any problem. They used rubber fuel lines under the hood so why not..
