Engine: 305
Transmission: 5 sp
Axle/Gears: 3.73
best distributor?
i need to pick up an HEI distributor with vacuum advance for my 84z28. the carbs been rebuilt and switched to a non cc and need it now. its an lg4 motor btw where is the cheapest place to get one and which one/s might be ideal ? i start looking online and get a bit overwhelmed. any advice would be appreciated.

Guy above me is right. But I bought mine knowing it wasn't for a super street car. Just a modified car with some good money in it. I bought mine from summit as well. Part number is this 8548201. That's the one I bought, but it doesn't come with a coil.

I bought the accel one that autozone keeps in stock. I've been beating the hell out of it for 3 years, no problems so far. It didn't come with a coil.

well ive seen anywhere from 35 ish on ebay for hei dist. with 50 or 65k coil, vacuum advance etc from white performance to summit 89 to 309 for all the usual name brands..ive heard mostly good things about white performance and they do have a lifetime warranty. if the pricier ones are just gonna be better i will scrimp and save for em, but i really just need something that works oh..im guessing 65k coil is overkill for my set up? lg4 with not too too much.
