Cylinder Head Talk...

If you were building a street/strip 406 running pump gas, had a goal of 11.5-12.0 in the 1/4 mile, what heads would you pick?

I've had my eyes on Brodix Track1's, or AFR's (open to other suggestions but want to stick with aluminum)

So, if you had the same goals and a budget of $2000 or less, what would you do?

Thanks.

I went with DART's and I really like them, but AFR's and BRODIX make great heads also. I'd say it's a tossup between the two, but I'd choose AFR's if I needed to pull the trigger between them.

That's where I'm torn...

The Track1's have the larger intake runners, and the AFR's...well, they're AFR's lol. I think I'm going to have to try to find some flow charts.

Re: Cylinder Head Talk...

I definitely wouldn't waste my money on AFR or Brodix Track 1s just to run 11.50-12.0... I would spend a whopping $300-400 on a set of used Vortec heads to get those numbers.

Pretty much everyone I know running track 1's is in the single digits on motor...
