L98 Swap help please
Hi everyone im doing my first build for my camaro getting rid of the old shity 305 and i just acquired an l98 it needs total overhaul. Im thinking i might do a turbo set up, what are suggestions on bottom end parts....also im having it bored .30 over as part of the clean up. Im thinkin about doing a tpi set up, but not sure if that would be wise over doing carbs with efi.
All thoughts and suggestions are welcome im learning as i go

Re: L98 Swap help please
well if your going to turbo it i suggest a forged bottom end. eagle and scat both make nice rotating assemblies... mine rotation kit is made by eagle and the forged pieces are top quaility but my kit was around 1600 dollars.. since you need to replace everything minus well get a 383 kit... they are about the same price as a 350 or 355 kit so minus well go for the extra cubes...something along with 8.5 to 1 compression with a turbo would be good....

I have heard that eagle cranks have been known to snap, how has your experience been with them? i assume great since you suggested it, but other than the crank issue i havnt heard anything bad about eagle
