Need a couple of dimensions from the 84-92 clutch pedal
I am looking to build a hydraulic clutch setup on my 71, converting it over to a new M22 Rockcrusher. I plan on using 85-91 F hydraulics and manufacture bracket and rod to fit the 71. In order to get the proper pedal I need to compare ratios and need the dimensions shown in the pic - any help is welcome, thanks

I converted a 70 el camino from a 4spd to wct5 using stock pedals from the elky a hydraulic setup from an fbody. Once the master cylinder was bolted to the firewall,I put the rod up against the pedal, marked it and drilled the pedal to accept a 3/8 bolt.I then took two bronze hurst shifter bushings, sandwiched them together on the eyelet of the master cylinder and ran a 3/8 grade 8 bolt through it and the clutch pedal, putting a lock washer and nut on the other side.
I know you said needed dimensions but I thought this info may help also. Good Luck!
BTW how did you get your lettering blue?

When you go to make a post, note the dropdown menu as shown in the pic. It will give you a choice of various colors.
How well did the stock pedal work with the F stuff? I would guess GM would not change things like pedal ratios and the like. Did you use third gen stuff?

Yes, I used the stock 3rd gen master/slave assembly. I also used the t5 bellhousing. I can't remember if I had to move the crossmember or not.I also had welded the original hole in the clutch pedal and started over with a new hole for the master cylinder.I'm not sure if that step was needed b/c I think I could have drilled the original hole out to accept the 3/8 bolt. The elky has been together for over 3yrs with no clutch/tranny problems.
Thanks for the computer edumacation.

Good. I am looking to make a few sets; snaking a single hydraulic hose would be far easier than clearancing headers for the OEM Z-bar. Might be a nice seller, I would need to make the firewall reinforcing brackets and bellhousing brackets (BOP did not offer OEM hydraulic clutches IIRC).
I see you have mastered color.

you could also use the 93-95 master/slave assembly. It has a steel braided line connecting the two.I used one of these on my iroc just had to cut the back of the slave heat sheild off in order for the line to clear it.
Another suggestion as far as heat issues would be to use some Themo-Cool wrap on the hard plastic line.
