I am looking for the best set of intake gaskets. I used felpro twice first time no issues 2nd time vaccum leak. I don't mind putting a thin coat of RTV on all the surfaces to ensure proper sealing but figured I would ask to see what other people were doing to keep theirs from leaking.
Thanks,

RTV silicone should only be used around the water jackets and on the end seals(if you even use them) Use either a brush on or spray on high tack around the ports( I use the brush on stuff) RTV + gas = a big no no. If your having intake sealing issues Id check your angles of both the head and the intake to make sure that isnt the root of your issue.

I replaced the intake manifold gasket about 4 years ago with a Felpro because of a vacuum leak. Now its leaking coolant. I used to have a garage were I could work on my car but now its become complicated so I'm going to let a shop do it.So when you mention checking the angles on the intake and head ,is that a simple task that is normally done with a intake manifold gasket replacement or is that something extra ? I also want the best gasket possible so should I make sure its a Felpro or is there something better ?

I always use Fel-pro as well.
If they aren't sealing it's usually because of poor surface preparation, or you're not using hardened washers under the heads of your intake bolts.
An angle mismatch will leak no matter what gasket you are using.
