ByPass Speed

Ok so i was wondering, is there a way to by-pass the signal that makes it so that when i get to 110 on my car it doesnt put itself in neutral. also what would happen if i were to pass it? would my car just burn up or something? and help or faqs. just want to know out of curiosity..
